LightBridge Healthcare Research, Inc. is a provider of learning resources and educational guides based on cutting edge Alzheimer’s disease research custom designed for the at-home caregiver. Experience

Each member of the LightBridge management team possesses extensive scientific knowledge, expertise, and credentials, as well as first-hand experience in Alzheimer and dementia care. It is our utmost priority to ensure that our educational caregiver training programs are based on the latest scientific research in the field of Alzheimer and dementia care and that they are thorough, easy to understand, and easy to access and navigate via combined CD-ROM-video and internet technologies. Thus, in addition to our own expertise, we have assembled both a board of directors and an advisory board consisting of leading health care professionals—including doctors, nurses, scientists, university professors, and researchers—to consult on every aspect of the development of our caregiver guides.

Powerful Relationships

We have also cultivated university affiliations, which are the core of our business. In order to apply academic research to bedside care, our relationships with universities—including the University of Maryland’s School of Nursing—are essential. LightBridge’s research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, which has awarded us numerous Small Business Innovation Research Grants.

Locations

Founded in 2000 by President and CEO Thomas B. Elin, LightBridge’s management team includes, among others, Catherine Harris, PhD RNCS, Senior Consultant, Research, Program and Education. The company’s home office is in San Antonio, Texas with offices in San Diego, California; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Baltimore, Maryland and Chicago, Illinois.
